Let's Make Pumpkin Pies with Little Chef, Halloween Thu 31st Oct. 9.45 and 10.45 am
It's our traditional Halloween special with chef David! It's not Halloween at Cupcake without our little pumpkin pies!
For allergies, please check ingredients! Here is the recipe from Chef David:
Sweet short crust pastry: 4 tbsp plain flour 1 tbsp of dairy free butter 2 tsp of icing sugar 1/2 egg yolk Dash of ice cold water to bring it together
Filling: Roasted and mashed pumpkin 1/4 can of pumpkin purée 1 tbsp of condensed milk Pinch of mixed spice Dash of egg
Mix four and butter to create breadcrumbs Add icing sugar Egg yolk Cold water to make a ball of dough - add more flour if it is sticky, more water if dry
Roll out and line muffin tray with pastry Gently Mix pumpkin, condensed milk, egg and spices. Add filling to pastry case
Cook on 220c for 10mins then 170c for 15mins
Till filling Is no longer runny. Let it cool and enjoy!
